Katyal, Former Solicitor General, joins Hogan Lovells
The former acting US Solicitor General, Neal Katyal will join Hogan Lovells. He is joining as a member of the law firm's appellate group in Washington, DC. He never worked with any law firm earlier. He worked as summer associate at Hogan Hartson in 1995. He was the professor of National Security Law at Georgetown University Law Center and the lead counsel for the Guantanamo Bay detainees. He also served as a national security adviser in the Justice Department under President Clinton and as co-counsel for Al Gore in the case over the disputed Florida election results in 2000 that went to the Supreme Court.
