Pros: 5.0 Current EmployeeExcellent!Anonymous Employee ProsVery positive environment that does not place too much importance on billing or working yourself to the bone. Management knows that work/life balance is the key to happiness. Money is certainly not an incentive, but fun activities with colleagues and a fairly relaxed atmosphere make it a great place to work.ConsThe pay is decent starting out, but annual raises do not even touch inflation. Bonuses are really not great when compared to billing and other offices in the area.Advice to ManagementThere is a huge divide between support staff and attorneys, which is something that should be evaluated (always thought that it would be great for them to think outside the box to allow for even small upward mobility). It's a traditional firm setting with receptionists, office support, legal assistants, and paralegals v. HR/billing, associates, partners, and shareholders, with no varying levels of any one role. Paralegals are treated like legal assistants and associates are doing work that paralegals should do. It works but could be much better. I heard from many people (not just myself) that raises and bonuses are disappointing.
