"Be Very Careful when hiring this Law Group" - Anonymous

Advice to law firm management: Be HONEST. Do thorough research before accepting a client(s) case.

Pros: Efficient and will aid you in winning a court case even if it means misrepresenting information.

Cons: My experience with The Potier Law Group, specifically with attorneys Amanda Potier and Janet Marcum, has been deeply troubling and distressing. I am currently involved in a real estate contract dispute with this firm, which has been in litigation for over 24 months. The dispute originates from a fraudulent real estate purchase contract executed by Cynthia Correa, myself (a non-property owner), Adriana Hernandez (Buyers agent) and West Coast escrow officer Olivia Mercer.

During a period of tremendous grief, I was approached by Coldwell Banker agent Cynthia Correa with options for listing the property. I signed a listing agreement with her and agreed to pay all associated fees, unaware that I did not have the authority or authorization to list or sign on behalf of the property owners. When the agent discovered this misrepresentation, she failed to act with reasonable care in canceling the escrow. Instead, The Potier Law Group, representing clients Pablo Sahagun and Yvette E. Rios, began a series of legal intimidations and harassment tactics that have caused me significant emotional and physical damage.

Attorney Amanda Potier has been caught in several lies and has submitted questionable documents and communications with West Coast Escrow. Despite being aware that the real estate agent's communications were with a non-owner of the property, she chose to proceed with legal actions against me. Rather than suing the real estate agent or escrow company, The Potier Law Group decided to focus their lawsuit on individuals with very limited financial resources, including myself.

Attorney Janet Marcum, a junior attorney and notary in this pending lawsuit, has also played a problematic role. Not only did she act as a notary on the Notice of Pending Action against me and the other defendants, but she also has a beneficial financial interest in the case.

Amanda Potier has been honored by several Long Beach City news outlets, but it appears these accolades were given without thoroughly researching her case history. She has celebrated wins at the expense of marginalized groups who have been unable to afford sufficient legal representation. Amanda Potier has submitted several emails and court filings in which she has stretched the truth (lied). Despite court records showing that all documents were filed in a timely manner, she falsely claimed under oath that she never received interrogations, requests for admission, and several other documents. Amanda Potier and Janet Marcum actions secured their clients a win of over $140k for what was a fraud case and not a simple Breach of Contract case. I will not relevant until justice is served, and the current individuals are investigated and prosecuted.

As an African American defendant, I have been hospitalized and have required mental treatment due to the actions of The Potier Law Group. While I regret my actions, I genuinely did not know what I was doing was incorrect, as the real estate agent continuously assured me that it was okay.

If you are looking for an attorney who is ruthless and willing to misrepresent information to the court to secure a win, then hiring The Potier Law Group would be a fitting option. Personally, I would never hire an attorney who lacks integrity. I am willing to upload The Potier Law Group's filings and court documents to demonstrate the instances where Amanda Potier lied under oath about not receiving documents.

In conclusion, God himself has ensured me that the innocent defendants will receive justice. I will forever remember this experience along with its valuable lessons. The system isn't designed on right or wrong m, but on privilege and connections.
