BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

rs of service but still great.

The Dutton Law Group has a reputation for being a law firm that encourages and rewards hard work from its attorneys. The reviews from attorneys and others who have worked at the firm generally indicate that they are given freedom to work their cases and are provided resources and mentorship when needed. Additionally, employees are given the opportunity to take on one-off cases and grow as attorneys.

However, there are some areas of improvement. Turnover is high, likely due to employees not wanting to work hard and put forth effort. There is also a lack of administrative help, though this may not be the company’s fault. Additionally, there is not a clear path of how one can advance or move into other areas of practice. Lastly, while the company offers PTO to employees, the amount of PTO one receives before hitting their years of service is low.

Overall, the Dutton Law Group appears to be an excellent employer in terms of providing attorneys with freedom to work their cases and resources when needed. The company also allows its employees to take on one-off cases and grow as attorneys. However, there are areas of improvement that the company should address, such as turnover, administrative help, and PTO.

Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 3 yearsBest Employer I've Ever Worked ForAug 23, 2022 - Associate Attorney in Tampa, FL ProsI have been with this company over 4.5 years and at two different offices. I am given freedom to work my cases, i.e. no micro-managing, I am given any resource I have asked for, and I have a mentor that has assisted me when encountering something new and providing that guidance I needed. Of course there are areas of improvement. Every company has that. But - you have to work. If I worked my cases and pushed them forward, negotiated smartly, billed properly and contemporaneously, and was professionally aggressive and obtained good results for the client, the company offered me trust. This trust built my confidence as an attorney. I could not be more thankful for my time with them.ConsIf I had to give a negative it would employee turnover but I account that to people who don't want to work and put forth the effort. If you work, you succeed here.Another negative may be that there is not a clear path of how one can advance or move into others areas of practice if one wants to but this was not a negative so much for me. Every time I asked to take on a one-off case, I was given permission and that also made me grow as an attorney.Advice to ManagementNothing to add. I am very thankful.
