Pros: 5.0 Former Employee, more than 5 yearsAssociate Attorney - Excellent Place to Work and GrowSenior Associate Attorney in San Francisco, CA ProsI worked at Bledsoe for approximately five years. It's an incredible place to learn and grow as an attorney. Every partner, whether you work under them or not, is always willing to provide advice on any issue you may come across. There are no "yellers," everyone is respectful of their associates and peers. The interaction between the associates was always cordial, and the firm took a strong approach to ensuring camaraderie between them. Senior associates always made sure to keep their door open to newer associates, providing guidance on the firm's culture and systems. The work is fast-paced and interesting. As you move along, demonstrating success, you're rewarded with more responsibility for your cases. Oftentimes, after only a little while, you're tasked with primary responsibility for your case load, though partners are always available for input or advice. Bledsoe has an excellent reputation in the Bay Area. Judges and local law firms I've met have always commented on the excellence of the attorneys and work product who come from Bledsoe. The firm has been around for a half-century. Overall, I found Bledsoe to be a great experience. As an aside, having read a very unfavorable recent review posted, I can say I never experienced any of the negative aspects described, such as any inappropriate remarks by any partner. I would also note that it is unfortunate when a reviewer who worked at a business for only a few months accuses a business of inappropriate conduct without having any first-hand knowledge. It's not helpful to Glassdoor users, and is far more indicative of the reviewer's inability to succeed at their job, than the firm.ConsThe work can be fast-paced, and come in waves. While this is the nature of litigation, some people may find it difficult when several deadlines line up back to back.
