CGWG was officially established in 1997, although a majority of the Firm's Directors have been working together much longer. CGWG attorneys serve our clients from our main office in Little Rock and our Northwest Arkansas office in Springdale. Currently, the firm includes 23 attorneys.

The firm was honored for the sixth consecutive year with the 2017 When Work Works Award (formerly the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility). The award recognizes companies that incorporate flexibility as an effective workplace strategy to increase business and employee success. This prestigious award, part of the national When Work Works project administered by the Families and Work Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management, recognizes employers of all sizes and types across the country. CGWG is one of only three Arkansas employers honored.

The firm was one of nine national entities to earn the American Psychological Association's 2012 Best Practice Honor at the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards (PHWA) ceremony in Washington, D.C., on March, 10, 2012. This award honors CGWG for a program or policy that contributes to a psychologically healthy work environment and meets the unique needs of the organization and its employees. In 2011, CGWG was honored with the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award, also in Washington, D.C., after receiving the PHWA from the Arkansas Psychological Association. The national award program recognizes organizations that make a commitment to programs and policies that foster employee health and well-being, while enhancing organizational performance and productivity. CGWG was one of only eight employers from across North America to receive the award in 2011.

CGWG was named the inaugural Benchmark Award winner at the 2013 Best Places to Work luncheon, which honors the state's overall top workplace. The initiative, sponsored by Arkansas Business, recognizes employers throughout the state based on employee engagement, and employee benefits and retention policies, among other criteria. CGWG also received the Ambassador Award at the Governor's Work-Life Balance Awards in 2011, after earning Gold-level distinction for three consecutive years. The awards recognize companies' dedication to the creation of a family-friendly work environment and respect for its employees' lives outside of the office. In addition, CGWG was the first law firm to be named by Arkansas Business as the Arkansas Business of the Year in the Category II (26 to 75 employees) division.
