Maurice Jay Kutner is fully invested in the welfare of each client and the outcome of every case. The goal from the outset is to achieve resolution ("close the file"); and, the all-important "process" for each case is to custom design an action plan which will most efficiently accomplish getting to the finish line.

Kutner, as he is commonly called, will analyze every issue in your case, explain the law, and devise a game plan. The firm employs a team approach by retaining the appropriate professionals, including forensic accountants, business valuation experts, and child custody experts. Team conference calls, which always include the client, are an efficient way of communicating and maximizing team synergy.

The Kutner firm is a true boutique and limits its practice to complex matters involving high net worth individuals (including entrepreneurs, professional athletes, entertainers, professionals, and their spouses). There are four lawyers in the firm and rarely more than twelve active cases. As a result of selectively limiting the number of cases, the firm's resources are available to accomplish whatever is necessary to be done on your case. Most of the firm's cases settle at mediation. If one or both of the parties are unreasonable, the case will probably be tried in Court.

Maurice Jay Kutner has lived in Miami since 1947, attended Coral Gables High School, and college and law school at the University of Miami. Kutner served three years in the Army JAG Corps, followed by two years as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, prior to specializing in family law. He has been a lawyer for fifty years.
