Longshore & Harbor Workers' Compensation Act (LHWCA) - Shipyard and dock work is tough, dangerous labor. For this reason, longshoremen, ship-breakers and certain other marine industry employees are entitled to special coverage if they suffer a workplace injury. We have fought for the rights of the working men and women who do this work for over three decades.
Defense Base Act (DBA) - The Defense Base Act provides workers' compensation protection to civilian employees working outside the United States on U.S. military bases or under a contract with the U.S. government for national defense and government projects. It is our privilege to represent employees who are injured while supporting the overseas missions of the United States.
Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentalities Act (NAFIA) - The NAFIA extends Longshore Act benefits to civilian employees, compensated from non-appropriated funds, of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, Navy Ship's Stores Ashore, Navy and Marine Corps exchanges, Coast Guard exchanges, and other employees that provide morale, welfare, and recreational services to our armed forces. We are proud to represent U.S. military base employees covered by the NAFIA who work at base exchanges and other retail and recreational facilities, including child care centers, restaurants, bowling centers, golf courses, housing facilities, and laundries.
