Nate Smith founded Smith Law Firm, P.C. with the goal of bringing to Southwest Colorado and Telluride efficient and effective legal services that focus on personalized representation.
Nate has focused his career on real estate, business, land use, homeowners association, and environmental matters in Southwest Colorado, including the Telluride region.
While in law school, Nate interned with the Town of Telluride Attorney's Office, which gives him a unique perspective when representing clients in municipal-related matters. Since that time, Nate has spent several years in private practice working with both public and private entities on a range of real estate, business and environmental matters.
?
Nate earned his law degree from Vermont Law School, a school consistently ranked as the top environmental law school in the United States. During this time, he served as an editor on the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law. These experiences allow him to provide his clients with an insight unlike no other firm in Southwest Colorado or Telluride.
?
Nate's writings have been published in renowned legal journals. He is the only attorney to have studied the impact that the Town of Telluride's condemnation of the Valley Floor will have on land-use planning in the Rocky Mountains. Nate has also co-authored an analysis of real estate deeding and title issues in the State of Colorado.
?
While not in the office, Nate spends his time exploring mountains and surf breaks all around the American West.
