Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs is a business law firm that has been serving the Akron, Canton and Cleveland areas of Northeast Ohio for over a century. Throughout this time, the region has become their home, and the businesses in it, their family. This ethos has been integral to their success over the years.The partnership was founded in 1913 by Frank J. Rockwell, a former county prosecutor and future mayor of Akron, and Princeton University Graduate Charles T. Grant. They were later joined by Lisle M. Buckingham, a labor and employment attorney, in 1929, and Gillum H. Doolittle, a distinguished trial lawyer, in 1934. Finally, Edmund Burroughs, a Harvard Law School graduate and former editor of the Harvard Law Review, joined in 1943. Since then, the firm has added talent and evolved with the changing times, while still preserving the integrity that was established by their founders.
