It all started in 1948, when William K. Bennett opened a law firm on the sixth floor of the Lafayette Loan & Trust Building. In the early 1960s, he formed a partnership with fellow Hoosier Richard A. Boehning, and when Brent E Clary became a partner in 1977, the name Bennett Boehning & Clary (BB&C) was born.
