Israel, Israel & Purdy, LLP is a full service law firm concentrating in no-fault reimbursement for health care providers. The firm is one of the oldest, largest and most respected no-fault law firms in New York State. We currently employ over 85 people, including 21 attorneys, all with extensive experience in medical collections.
Effective Leadership

The firm's partners have 50 years cumulative experience representing a variety of health care institutions, including hospitals, diagnostic centers, multidisciplinary pain management centers and solo practitioners, for all of their no-fault billing and collection needs.

Respecting the Client

Each client is assigned to one of our attorneys as well as a medical account specialist who act as your primary contact at the firm. While many individuals will ultimately be involved in the collection of your claims, by individually assigning specific professionals to each client, you can be assured that you will always be able to immediately speak with someone about your account. In addition, our custom-designed proprietary software allows us to provide our clients with an array of reports beyond just general claim status. These reports will help you analyze successful as well as problem areas of your practice and allow you to make more intelligent medical and business decisions. We are also introducing a web-enabled solution that will enable clients, via secured connections, to access the status of claims.
Our Process

Your medical facility prepares the claim and submits the same to our firm for transmittal to the insurance carrier. Each bill is reviewed for proper insurance information and entered in our custom-designed computer program. Receipt of each claim is acknowledged via either fax or email to ensure confirmation of the claim. We attach our letter of representation to each claim and forward it to the carrier with proof of mailing. Many carriers have indicated that they treat bills submitted by our law firm differently than those received directly by the providers or other billing entities.

The rationale for this is that we have traditionally been very aggressive against the carriers if they fail to quickly and fully reimburse our clients; immediately initiating collection efforts by any actions necessary, including litigation and arbitration. The overwhelming majority of these actions result in favorable settlements for our medical providers. Our team of experienced lawyers and paralegals ensure that you receive full satisfaction.

For those claims that need to be litigated, our reputation as aggressive trial attorneys helps obtain favorable verdicts for the healthcare provider. Our firm uniquely helps to arrange with the client for the testimony of expert witnesses on behalf of its medical services should that be necessary.
