Clawson and Staubes has been providing clients with quality legal services for over 45 years. We trace our roots to 1975, when we began as a general civil practice in Charleston. In 1980, our firm expanded into new practice areas and adopted a focus on litigation.

Since that time, we have opened offices in Columbia, Greenville and Charlotte. Although the firm continues to grow and now includes more than 35 attorneys and 65 support staff, everyone at Clawson & Staubes remains grounded by the philosophy of our three founding partners, Robert G. Clawson, Jr., Sam Clawson, Sr., and Chris B. Staubes, Jr. Their belief was to provide high quality legal services and achieve the best outcome for the client in a timely and efficient manner.

We now serve clients throughout South Carolina and North Carolina in a wide variety of practice areas, including civil litigation, appellate, admiralty & maritime, alternative dispute resolution, construction defect, criminal defense, creditor's rights, family, governmental, immigration, personal injury and worker's compensation law.
