In 1991, Gene Covington and Doug Patrick formed their own law firm after years of practicing with well-known and highly successful Greenville attorney Richard J. Foster. Soon after this initial partnership was established, former South Carolina Bar President Johnny Hagins joined the firm. Stephen Lewis joined in 1993, followed by Sandy Stern in 1997. Currently, Covington, Patrick, Hagins, Stern & Lewis, LLC is Greenville, South Carolina's primary litigation-only boutique, and every member of the LLC has achieved the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell "AV Peer Review" rating.
