Laurie Ohall is a Florida Board Certified Elder Law attorney who has been practicing law since 1994. She has dedicated most of her legal career to the practice of estate planning and elder law which includes the related fields of asset protection planning, special needs planning, Medicaid eligibility planning, probate, guardianship, and trust administration. Ms. Ohall enjoys educating her clients so that they can make the best choices possible for their families. Together with her partner, Dana Kemper, Laurie and Dana helped to put together a workshop to help parents with Developmentally Disabled adult children learn how to navigate filing for guardian advocacy in Hillsborough County, Florida on their own. This pro bono workshop has many families be able to file to become Guardian Advocate over their children without having to spend money on an attorney. Laurie and Dana worked with the Hillsborough County probate court to make the forms available online to all Hillsborough County families. They also recorded YouTube videos and have a "how to" manual available on the website to guide families through the process.
