Born in Kailua, Hawaii on May 22, 1964, JG Downing graduated from St. Andrew's School in Middletown, Delaware. After graduating from the College of William and Mary in 1986, Mr. Downing worked as a legislative aide for Representative Solomon Ortiz (D-Texas). Downing then went to Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana.After graduating from Tulane in 1990, Downing worked for Carey & Carey in Palo Alto and then Lillick & Charles in San Francisco, handling real estate, white collar criminal matters, and products liability defense, before opening his own firm in 1998.For the last 15 years, JG Downing has resided primarily in Truckee, California, with his wife Christa Cullen and children Jed and Emmylou. He spends his free time skiing, biking (on trails and roads), walking his 3 dogs, and coaching and playing lacrosse.
