In 1984, Andrew L. Libo and Edward H. Gersowitz founded Gersowitz & Libo, P.C. Jeff S. Korek joined the firm as a named partner in 1992. Mr. Korek now serves as the firm's Senior Trial Partner. Michael A. Fruhling joined the firm in 1991 and became partner in 1999.

GLK PartnersIn 1984, Andrew L. Libo and Edward H. Gersowitz founded Gersowitz & Libo, P.C. after successful careers working with the legendary F. Lee Bailey and Aaron J. Broder. Jeff S. Korek left a Wall Street defense firm to join the firm as a named partner in 1992.

We founded the firm over 35 years ago based upon the goal of offering the best legal services to people suffering from the negligence of others Libo said of founding the firm with Gersowitz: "I am so proud that after all of these years our values have not changed as we continue to represent those who need it most"

Our success stems from the excellent, passionate lawyers that make up the GLK family. Michael Fruhling joined our team in 1991, and became a partner in 1999.

As our reputation grew over the years, so did our need for space. The firm's first office location was at 333 Seventh Avenue in New York. In 1989, GLK moved to 56 Thomas Street until 1991 when we relocated to 299 Broadway, suite 702. Finally, in 1995, we settled in our current home in Downtown Manhattan at the Trinity Building location at 111 Broadway, 12th floor. We eventually took over the annex on the other side of the 12th floor to accommodate our growth.

"Our expansion at 111 Broadway is actually rather important as it highlights an important decision we made as a firm to stay downtown after September 11th," remembers Michael Fruhling. "We expanded a few years later, growing as a firm and in solidarity with the downtown business community that went on to thrive despite the tragedy."
Community Involvement

Although GLK has recorded many successes in the courtroom, our proudest achievements have come from our work within our local communities. Among the many community organizations that we actively support is The Gardiner Foundation, an organization in the Bronx dedicated to offering financial, spiritual and emotional support to families and youth members most in need. We have been the title sponsor of the 2009 and 2010 Annual Gardiner Memorial Basketball Classic Tournament, a two-day street ball basketball tournament that provides food and beverages for thousands of people, college scholarships for selected graduating high school seniors, laptops and other electronics, along with backpacks full of school supplies, to the youth of the community, plaques and spiritual support to community members who have lost loved ones, and fun and entertainment for all in attendance. In 2010, we also sponsored the First Annual Gardiner Foundation Turkey Giveaway, which provided 130 families in the Bronx community with full Thanksgiving meals.
