Garfield & Hecht's litigation group is committed to providing top-flight and effective litigation, arbitration, trial and appellate services. The firm's litigation practice covers all aspects of commercial litigation, land use, construction, contracts, real estate, products liability, as well as family law and personal injury matters. Many of the firm's litigators have over 20 years' experience. The firm's litigators are supported by experienced paralegals and legal assistants. Our litigators have extensive courtroom experience throughout the State of Colorado, including in the Ninth Judicial District (Glenwood Springs and Aspen), the Fifth Judicial District (Eagle and Summit Counties), the Colorado State Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, as well as other federal and state courts in other jurisdictions. We also practice before various alternative dispute resolution forums, including the American Arbitration Association and the Judicial Arbiter Group in Denver.
Transactional Practice

Garfield & Hecht's transactional group is committed to providing top-flight and effective legal services for virtually all transactional and business-related matters. The firm's transactional practice covers real estate (including representing commercial and residential developers), lending, commercial law, business organizations, municipal and special district law, administrative law (with an emphasis on land use) and landlord/tenant matters. Many of the firm's lawyers in the transactional practice group have over 20 years' experience, and some have over 40 years' experience. As with the litigation group, an experienced staff of paralegals and legal assistants supports the transactional attorneys. The transactional group is versed in handling all types of business transactions, including buying and selling real estate, leasing, lending, commercial law, and the sale and purchase of businesses, including leveraged buy-outs.
