The firm of Luxan & Murfitt, PLLP, is a professional limited liability partnership. It is a successor to Luxan & Scribner (1955-62) and has operated under its present name since 1962, when H. J. Luxan (1918-1984) and Walter S. Murfitt (1930-2002) formed the present firm.
The attorneys at Luxan & Murfitt span several generations, and are dedicated to serving our clients and serving the local and statewide community. Gregory Gould was with the firm from 1998 to 2004, and rejoined the firm in 2010, after serving as in-house counsel for the state's largest health insurer. Mark Lancaster joined the firm in 2010 after working in a litigation firm in Great Falls.

Our attorneys practice statewide, routinely appearing in all state and federal trial courts including the Montana Water Court, the Montana Supreme Court, and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. A number of our attorneys also have extensive experience appearing before the legislature as lobbyists, and before various state and federal administrative agencies as legal counsel.
