Experienced and professional. Practicing in Illinois since 1981, Mr. Warlick is knowledgeable about all aspects of family law. His prior background in business, real estate, corporate, and civil litigation serves clients well in determining divorce settlements and financial support.
Mr. Warlick is believed to be the only attorney in Kane County trained in Collaborative Law. He served as a Director of the Kane County Bar Association (2005-2008), was active in the DuPage County Bar Association, is a past chairman of the Matrimonial Law Committee, the Children's Advocacy Committee, and the Judiciary Committee, and has been a performer and contributor for the annual Judges Nite legal aid production for nearly 20 years. Mr. Warlick also has been appointed as a guardian ad litem (GAL) in divorce and adoption cases and was formerly appointed as a GAL in dozens of juvenile cases in Cook County. Attorney Warlick also served the Illinois State Bar Association for many years as a member of the Family Law Section Council (from 2006), the Bar Services and Activities Standing Committee (from 2007), and as an elected member of the Assembly for the 16th Judicial Circuit (from 2007).
Community involvement. Douglas B. Warlick served as a past president of the Geneva Lions Club and current chairman of the We Serve Foundation that assists people in the local community and throughout the world. He was an instructor for the KIDS Program, a mandatory divorce education class for all divorcing parents in Kane County, for nearly 10 years. Attorney Warlick has also been an active member of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, and he has been active in his church through the Awana Program and is now the attorney for St. Mark's Church in Geneva, Illinois. Futhermore, he was elected to political office in DuPage County, Illinois.
