Cons: I recently applied for a Paralegal job at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani in their New York City office. I went through multiple rounds of interviews. I spoke with a Partner, a Practice Group Manager, and an Office Administrator. I received an offer letter for the Paralegal job. During the interview process, I was told that the job would be hybrid (working some days a week in the office and some days at home). After I received the offer letter, I made it clear that I would love to work at GRSM, and that I would love to work hybrid. As part of my due diligence as a potential employee, I respectfully asked if the job could be remote (no days in the office). I made it very clear that I wanted to work hybrid, but I just wanted to check to see if there was any chance that I could work remote. A few days later, GRSM responded, and told me that they were withdrawing the offer. They told me that they wanted someone who could work in the office hybrid. They also told me that they wanted someone with more experience. I respectfully responded, and I made it clear that I would able to work in the office hybrid, and that I was just doing my due diligence as a potential employee. I told them that I would love to accept their original offer letter. They responded again, and reiterated that they wanted someone who could work in the office hybrid, and that they wanted someone with more experience. I respectfully responded again, and I made it clear that I would be able to work in the office hybrid. They did not provide any further clarity about why they withdrew the offer. I don't understand what I did wrong. I was just asking about the in-office policy as part of my due diligence as a potential employee. The fact that they originally offered me the Paralegal job shows that they were not looking for someone with more experience. This situation is incredibly disappointing. I would have loved to work here. But if this is how GRSM responds to one simple question that was asked respectfully, what does that say about them? I do not recommend Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani.

Pros: 5.0 Current Employee, more than 3 yearsGreat balanceOf Counsel Attorney ProsGRSM gave me the opportunity to practice law after and in spite of the years I'd taken to focus on my family. The firm has offered me the chance to succeed and expand my practice, even while permitting me to maintain a decent work-life balance.ConsIt can sometimes be easy to get lost in the sheer size of the firm, but on the other hand, the size and scope of the practice gives an amazing number of opportunities to work with different partners, in different practice areas, and in other states' offices.
