Our firm has a long history of serving the Owensboro/Daviess County area. Founded in 1938 in Owensboro, Kentucky, by G. Wallace Thacker, the firm of Thacker and Sweeney first opened its office in the Holland Building in Owensboro. The office later moved to the Ames Building, and in approximately 1970, opened its doors at the current location of 209 W. 4th Street, Owensboro, Kentucky, in the Thacker Building. Mr. Thacker's son, George Thacker, joined him in the law practice and remains a partner of the firm today.
The firm has changed names and partners just a few times over the years, to what is currently the firm of Thacker, Hodskins, and Knight, LLP. Although a few of the names have changed periodically, the tradition of serving the residents of the Owensboro/Daviess County area has not. Our attorneys strive to earn our client's trust and confidence, and have worked hard to build a reputation for competently handling real estate, estate planning, probate, corporate and adoption/family law matters.
