Attorney Michael E. McLachlan has lived in Durango since starting as a prosecutor in 1974. Mike has extensive jury trial experience, having tried more than 50 civil jury trials to verdict. He is highly recognized by his peers as AV rated by Martindale-Hubbel, a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, a Master Advocate by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Mike served as the lead trial attorney and Solicitor General for the State of Colorado. He successfully argued before the United States Supreme Court in Hill v. Colorado, 530 U.S. 703 (2000). Listen to Mike's winning oral argument here.
