Mr. Young holds a law degree with high honors and distinction from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. During law school, Mr. Young served on the Board of Editors for the Cleveland-Marshall Law Review. Also during law school, Mr. Young was honored with the Spangenberg Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.



Mr. Young is a Dean's list graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Mr. Young is admitted to practice in all common pleas courts and courts of appeal throughout the State of Ohio. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.



Mr. Young is a member of the Cleveland, Portage County, Ohio State and American Bar associations. He is also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers, National Employment Lawyers Association, Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association, the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, and was recently nominated as a 'barrister' in the Cleveland Employment Inns of Court.



In 2008, Mr. Young received the honor of inclusion in Super Lawyers Magazine's list as a Rising Star in the Labor and Employment field. In 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, Mr. Young was further honored by his selection as a "Super Lawyer" - a designation reserved for only five percent of the lawyers in the State of Ohio. Super Lawyers is a listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Mr. Young has been certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in the area of Labor and Employment Law.
