Woodling, Krost, and Rust (WKR) is an international patent and intellectual property law firm based in the Cleveland, Ohio area since 1936. The firm has extensive international experience in all areas of intellectual property related matters (patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright) and intellectual property litigation specifically including patent litigation.
The firm was founded by George V. Woodling and Bruce B. Krost with offices in the Union Commerce Building (now the Huntington Building) in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to being a patent attorney, Woodling was a very successful businessman and author. Woodling was the author of two books: Inventions and their Protections and God Glorified Through Invention and Art. Bruce Krost was involved in a number of interesting cases including: Ropat Corp v. McGraw-Edison Co., 535 F.2d 378, 191 USPQ 556 (7th Cir. 1976) and In re Rubinfield, 123 USPQ 210 (CCPA 1959).
The firm later moved to the National City East Sixth Building about 1986. The firm is presently located in its own building in Kirtland, Ohio.
