Deep Experience
The firm handles cases involving catastrophic personal injuries and deaths. Our work spans three decades of handling airplane and helicopter crashes, truck and car accidents, oilfield and construction accidents, and other devastating accidents. We try lawsuits throughout the country in both federal and state courts and have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for our clients. To date, we have handled or tried cases in 47 states.

How We Got Started
Michael L. Slack, Mike Davis, and the late Tom H. Davis founded Slack Davis in 1993 as they felt many clients were not getting the legal services they deserved from other law firms when catastrophic events were involved. As their practice rapidly expanded beyond aviation crashes to other areas, they realized that lawyers without the necessary scientific or technical backgrounds were at a significant disadvantage when handling complex cases. They developed a different model, utilizing their strong engineering, piloting and technical skills and their abilities to effectively communicate complex subjects to judges and juries. We are happy to discuss our record of success with you. The firm expanded to Dallas in 2003 and Fort Worth in 2011.
