Mitchell Blackstock is one of the most well-established firms in the state. We have earned respect for not only quality results, but ethical workmanship. We do not strive to be the biggest. We strive to be the best.
At Mitchell Blackstock we are not only a law firm, we are lobbyists and consultants. Our team has years of experience in law, politics, management, public and private enterprise, and for-profit and non-profit businesses. We understand the real-world problems you face and how to address them in a complex legal, political, and regulatory environment.
We are deliberately non-hierarchal in nature. We know you want talent, not titles, and so we approach each case from the lens of what is best for you, the client, not some internal pecking order of the firm.
Many of our clients operate in highly regulated industries. Thanks to our many years of experience at the State Capitol, Mitchell Blackstock is one of the only firms that can handle an issue from conception, to bill drafting, to passage, to litigation in court if necessary.
Mitchell Blackstock is a full service firm. Areas of focus include all aspects of health law and policy, transactional work, trial practice in state and federal courts, qui tam and whistleblower litigation, professional licensure, education and employment law, family law, personal injury, corporate and tax law, business litigation, wills and estates, and more. The firm represents both plaintiffs and defendants and lobbies for many clients before the Arkansas Legislature.
Among the firm's clients are physician clinics, dentists, hospitals, behavioral health providers, developmental disabilities providers, long-term services providers, assisted living and residential care providers, and various associations and trade groups, including the Arkansas Medical Society, the Arkansas Education Association, and the Arkansas Automobile Dealers' Association.
Mitchell Blackstock has been named as a Tier 1 firm in U.S. News and World Report's Best Law Firms for Health Care Law in Arkansas.

Mitchell Blackstock firm was founded in 1972. The original members were former classmates at the University of Arkansas School of Law. In 1976, the firm merged with the firm of Warren and Bullion. The firm is an "AV rated" law firm in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which is the highest rating awarded.
Former firm members include: Eugene R. Warren (1909-1980), former general counsel to current firm clients, Arkansas Medical Society and Arkansas Education Association; W. Dent Gitchell, Emeritus Professor of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Bowen School of Law; and the retired Honorable David Bogard, Circuit Judge of the Sixth Judicial District in Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Firm Location
The Mitchell Blackstock firm is housed in the historic, and beautiful, Solomon Gans House at 1010 West Third Street, at the corner of Chester and Third, in downtown Little Rock. We are blocks from both the Federal and State Courthouses and the Arkansas State Capital with ample free parking behind the building.
We love this old house and think it says something about the kind of law firm we are. Like the Gans House, this firm and our successes have been built with strong materials, solid processes, hard work, attention to detail, and lastly, a passion and respect for the craft.
