Established in 1968, Howell, Gibson and Hughes, P.A. has a long and proud tradition of providing clients with quality legal services. The firm works with a wide array of local, state, and national clients in the areas of general civil trial practice in all levels of State and Federal Courts, focusing on defense litigation.
Our Firm encourages civic service, and our attorneys have served on various local Boards and Commissions, including the United Way, the Boys and Girls Club, March of Dimes, the Junior Service League of Beaufort, and many others charities.

JURISDICTIONS: All sixteen Judicial Circuits of the State of South Carolina, primarily the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit comprised by the counties of Beaufort, Colleton, Jasper, Hampton and Allendale; Ninth Judicial Circuit containing the counties of Charleston and Berkeley; Fifteenth Judicial Circuit containing the counties of Georgetown and Horry; the Administrative Law Court of South Carolina; the South Carolina Worker's Compensation Commission; also the U.S. District Court, District of South Carolina; the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals; and the United States Supreme Court.
