BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

Armstrong Teasdale is a law firm that has received both positive and negative reviews from attorneys and other professionals who have worked there. The positive reviews focus on the firm's colleagues and mentors, the people, the team-work, the culture, the office, and the potential of the younger generations. The leader of the office M.K. has also received positive reviews.

Negative reviews focus on the corporate politics, lack of training, compensation, and advancement opportunities. People have reported being overworked and underpaid, and hard to take time off. Additionally, some have reported the firm's aversion to training and prioritizing revenue over people.

Overall, Armstrong Teasdale appears to be a firm with both strengths and weaknesses. There are many positive aspects to the firm, such as its colleagues and mentors, people, team-work, culture, office, and potential of the younger generations. However, there are also some areas for improvement, such as corporate politics, lack of training, and compensation issues. It is clear that the firm has some work to do in order to improve its practices.

Advice to law firm management: Drain the swamp and seek to be acquired or absorbed by a firm with more standards and resources.

Pros: Some of the staff are amazing people who are under-recognized

Cons: Where shall I begin? Operating in 1978, maybe 1980. A good Ole boy haven. The attorneys weaponize their privilege and wealth against the average staff member. If corruption and deception are your cup of tea, grab a kettle because they're serving it up hot.
