Mr. Simpson is an adjunct professor in the LL.M. (Taxation) program of Loyola Law School|Los Angeles teaching the program's courses on Employee Pensions and Benefits and on Executive Compensation. From 1982-1999, Mr. Simpson was an adjunct professor in Golden Gate University's Graduate School of Taxation, teaching courses on qualified retirement plans, taxation of executive compensation, retirement plan distributions and the income taxation of trusts and estates.
Mr. Simpson attended the University of Notre Dame earning a B.A. with honors and received his J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law. He is admitted to the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Texas, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of California and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Simpson is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and a Life Member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference, having served as the President of the Los Angeles Chapter and Chairman of the Joint Council of Presidents of the Western Pension & Benefits Conference.
