Here is what Best Lawyers? says about the "Lawyer of the Year" award. "Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is honored as the "Lawyer of the Year," making this accolade particularly significant. Lawyers being honored as "Lawyer of the Year" are selected based on particularly impressive voting averages received during the exhaustive peer-review assessments we conduct with thousands of leading lawyers each year. Receiving this designation reflects the high level of respect a lawyer has earned among other leading lawyers in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, their professionalism, and their integrity."
He has also been named a "Super Lawyer" by the independent
Super Lawyer magazine every year since 2005. The firm was given a first tier rating in the 2012 inaugural Best Firms survey conducted by U.S. News and Best Lawyers?. It was one of only 11 Pennsylvania firms to receive this recognition in the field of elder law. The firm received similar recognition every year since, with the latest honor in 2018, when only 12 Pennsylvania firms received a tier 1 rating.
