BCG Attorney Search speaks with attorneys about law firms every day. Here is what attorneys are saying:

Summary:
Michelman & Robinson is a mid-size law firm that has received mixed reviews from attorneys who have worked there. On the positive side, many have praised the company culture and work life balance, as well as the supportive and respectful attitude of the attorneys. Additionally, the firm has a strong emphasis on training and the pay is competitive. However, there have been some negative aspects reported as well, such as salary issues, a toxic management style, and a lack of concern for employee well-being and retention. The firm has recently addressed the salary issue with midyear adjustments, but more needs to be done to reduce turnover and make positive changes to retain associates.

"Lots of turnover but chance to get lots of experience as associate" - Anonymous

Pros: Getting opportunities to take on lots of responsibility as a junior associate, most of the attorneys are pleasant to work with, and cool emphasis on marketing and business development even for associates

Cons: Tons of turnover at all levels, especially outside of the Los Angeles office, lots of nepotism, and some of the partners are pretty bad at working with women. High hour expectations and not always enough work for associates to meet those expectations

Partners to Avoid and Why: I'd say overall the management is pretty rigid and consolidated in LA and partners in corporate group are hit or miss
