Fabrizio, Hanson, Peyla & Kawinski, P.C.

The firm was originally formed by the late Congressman George M. O'Brien and the late Judge Thomas Faulkner in 1966. James R. Fabrizio joined the firm in 1977, and retired in January, 2010. Mark E. Hanson joined the firm in 1977. Mark S. Kawinski joined the firm in 2000. Mr. Hanson and Mr. Kawinski are the equity shareholders in the firm.

From its beginning, the firm has concentrated heavily in the preparation and trial of civil litigation with an emphasis on the representation and defense of insurance carriers and their insured's. The firm's defense practice also includes auto, general liability, professional legal, medical and hospital liability, products liability and insurance coverage disputes.

All attorneys in the firm have experience in the area of civil litigation and appeals. Attorneys Hanson, Kawinski, O'Connor and Frangella have extensive experience in the preparation and trial of civil jury cases to verdict. In addition, the firm maintains a general practice of law with concentration in the representation of hospitals and affiliated health care corporations, probate and estate planning, and real estate. The office of Fabrizio, Hanson, Peyla & Kawinski, P.C. is in Joliet, Illinois and serves Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Ford, Iroquois, Kane, Kankakee and LaSalle counties.
