Daniel Roemer is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law since 1998. He recently served as Chair of the Calfornia State Bar's Immigration and Nationality Law Advisory Commission, and served as a Commissioner of that body for three years. He is the managing attorney of the Law Office of Daniel Roemer, P.C. A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, and Golden Gate University School of Law, Mr. Roemer's law practice has during the firm's twenty year tenure focused exclusively on immigration and nationality law, with an emphasis on employment-based visas. He was the update author for the popular immigration reference works, U.S. Immigration Made Easy and How to Get a Green Card (Nolo Press). Mr. Roemer has been active as a pro bono supervising attorney and mentor with the San Francisco Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights for two decades, representing asylum applicants and mentoring volunteer attorneys in immigration litigation before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, for which he received the Wiley P. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services from the State Bar of California. Mr. Roemer is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) and Cool Immigration Lawyers (CIL) and served as AILA's Liaison to the USCIS San Francisco Asylum Office. Mr. Roemer has been consistently chosen as one of Northern California's "Super Lawyers" by his peers in the field of immigration law since 2006.
