Exiting the "circuit breaker"

From Tuesday 2 June 2020, the nationwide "circuit breaker" came to an end. However, to minimise the risk of widespread re-emergence of COVID-19 in the community and in compliance with the Singapore Ministry of Manpower's guidelines on safe distancing measures in the workplace dated 1 June 2020, the majority of us at CNPLaw will continue to work from home and a smaller team will be in the office to provide essential legal services to our clients

CNPLaw LLP ("CNP"), previously known as Colin Ng & Partners was established in 1988 by Mr Colin Ng, and practice first began in Robina House in Shenton Way.

On 1 April 2008, the firm was converted into a limited liability partnership, Colin Ng & Partners LLP.

On 16 April 2019, the firm changed its firm name from Colin Ng & Partners LLP to CNPLaw LLP.

Today, CNP is a full-service law firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services to our clients. CNP enjoys a distinguished reputation and is annually endorsed and recommended by professional and commercial publications, including Asialaw Profiles, Chambers and Partners, IFLR1000 and the Legal 500 Asia Pacific, for its expertise in various practice areas.

We have a multi-disciplinary service team of lawyers with experiences in different areas of practice. Some of our lawyers are qualified in or originate from different jurisdictions. CNP has a wide-ranging client base covering private and public companies, high net worth individuals, the public sector, property developers and financial institutions. We support clients in all major Asian markets.

Since 1988, the firm has been driven by its mission of "Delivering Exceptionally Good Service" to its clients. We pride ourselves in delivering innovative and pragmatic solutions and adding value in our services to all our clients.

Our Culture

CNP promotes a friendly working environment where learning and growing is an ongoing process to support our aim of becoming a better firm. We reward individuals based on merit and their contributions to the firm. A flat hierarchy allows us to be flexible and responsive to challenges.

The good working relationships forged across the different practice groups in the firm can be attributed in part, to the efforts of our Recreation Club whose goal is to build a healthy workforce and promote bonding amongst CNPians through sporting and social activities. All who join the firm are initiated into one of four "Houses", namely Executive Eagles, Super Seals, Tenacious Tigers and Witty Whales. Houses pit themselves in a myriad of recreational events held throughout the year to compete for the Championship title. The Recreation Club is made up of volunteers from all levels of the firm headed by our Managing Partner, Lisa Theng.

As a responsible corporate citizen, CNP believes that the time-honoured traditions of civic and charitable services have a role in the modern-day practice of law. We actively sponsor and encourage participation in pro bono work.
