In 1995, Ron Johnson and Martha Peddrick agreed that too many North Carolina firms were attempting to be all things to all clients, with some large firms often neglecting smaller clients in favor of larger accounts. They believed that a smaller firm whose lawyers had the experience and expertise to concentrate in the often overlooked areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, business law and tax law would be a viable enterprise. This idea came to pass with the formation of a new law firm on July 1, 1995, dedicating its practice to superior standards of client service, professionalism and expertise within a narrow spectrum of practice areas -- a type of firm unique in the Greensboro area.
