First established in 1973 by Joseph Bondi, the firm name changed to Bondi & Iovino in 1986. After 25 years as Bondi & Iovino, the firm changed to its present name, Bondi Iovino & Fusco in 2011 with the addition of Desiree Lovell Fusco as partner. A new chapter began for the firm in 2015, when Joseph Bondi and Anthony Iovino handed over the reins of firm management to Desiree Lovell Fusco. While both remain involved in the practice, Mr. Bondi and Mr. Iovino are now "of counsel" to the firm. Desiree Lovell Fusco, a 2003 graduate of Fordham Law School, is the managing partner of the firm, supervises the Trusts and Estates department of the firm, and oversees general litigation matters. Our senior associate, Heidi Bernstein, has twenty years of experience and handles most of the firm's matrimonial and criminal cases. Associate Colleen R.S. Gray handles the firm's negligence, foreclosure defense, and general litigation cases.Our senior of counsel attorneys, Joe Bondi and Tony Iovino, continue to provide valuable advice and insight in their areas of expertise. Mr. Bondi maintains a full-time practice on site, and continues to handle the firm's business law and real estate work. Mr. Iovino provides counsel to the firm while maintaining a limited personal practice.We believe that people need legal counsel for "life's events." Some clients, like a large corporation or an employee's union, may need to consult with their attorneys frequently. Others may need their attorneys for once-in-a-lifetime events, such as the adoption of a child.
