Seltzer Sussman Heitner LLP is a law firm dedicated to providing extraordinary legal counsel with the most personalized attention. The firm was established in 1969 by Stephen Seltzer. In 1974, Stephen's associate, Martin Sussman, was elevated to partner and the firm became known as Seltzer & Sussman. As attorneys and accountants, Stephen and Marty dedicated themselves to their individual and business clients' needs for sophisticated, innovative and comprehensive legal and tax advice. Many of the client relationships formed when the firm was founded continue to exist and prosper today.
In 1979, Glenn Habermann joined the firm while it continued to focus on its strongest areas of practice: corporate law, estate planning and administration, and real estate transactions. Glenn quickly became a nationally recognized expert in the field of commercial leasing and in 1983, the firm became known as Seltzer Sussman & Habermann. Sadly, Glenn passed away in 2005 after a valiant battle with cancer.
In 2007, the firm merged with the Law Offices of Brian R. Heitner and welcomed Brian as a Partner. Brian's areas of expertise are in trusts and estates planning and administration, estate litigation and guardianship proceedings. His breadth of knowledge and experience in real estate law, corporate matters and general civil litigation has complimented the firm's practice and has helped to expand the services rendered to our clients.
Most recently, in October 2015, we were heartbroken when our partner, Marty Sussman passed away after a years-long battle with cancer and other debilitating ailments.
Currently, the knowledge and experience of our attorneys, counsel and support staff allow Seltzer Sussman Heitner to provide comprehensive and sophisticated large-firm service, yet personalize our representation with small-firm attention to detail. We treat the matters entrusted to us by our clients as if they were our own.
