Houtchens Greenfield Sedlak & Zacheis, LLC was founded in 1911 by E.H. Houtchens, who began practicing law in Johnstown, Colorado. He moved his practice to Greeley in 1914, where he was later joined in the practice by his sons Barnard, Robert, and Rodger. In 2000, Brandon Houtchens joined the firm, representing the fourth generation of Houtchens lawyers. Today, our firm includes Dallas Greenfield, Melanie Sedlak, Kristin Zacheis, Matt Pring, and Audrey Galloway.

In 1983, Barnard, Robert, and Rodger were awarded the Colorado Bar Association Award of Merit. The firm received the Weld County Bar Association Pro Bono Publico Award in 1994 for the firm's commitment to providing legal services to the indigent.
