Brault Graham, LLC was founded in 1952 by Albert E. Brault and Denver H. Graham, recognized as two of the best trial lawyers during their lengthy professional careers. The firm's first office was in the District of Columbia. In the 1960s, the firm opened a second office in Montgomery County, Maryland, where it continues to practice. Since its inception, four members have been inducted as Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers and two have been elected to serve on its Board of Regents. Among the notable recognitions, Albert E. Brault was appointed by the Chief Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals to be the Chairman of the Organization Committee that created The District of Columbia Bar Association, and received the lawyer of the year award from the DC Bar Association in 1972-73. Albert D. Brault was a recipient of the first Professionalism award given by the Montgomery County Bar Association and the prestigious Vernon Eney Award given by the Maryland State Bar Association to the top trial lawyer in the State. Several of the firm's lawyers have been recognized as top lawyers in the Maryland Super Lawyers, D.C. Super Lawyers, Super Lawyers Business Edition, the Washington Post Magazine, and Washingtonian Magazine.



In addition, members of the Firm have been elected as officers of the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association, and been elected to the Bar Leaders of Montgomery County. Members have also served on the Maryland Rules Committee, the Fourth Circuit Rules Committee, Trial and Appellate Nominating Commissions in Maryland, the Character Committee of the Maryland Board of Law Examiners and on the Peer Review Panel for the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland.
