Hi, I'm Julie. After years of working with Fortune 100 companies at a big law firm, I had a new vision in mind: a small, client-centered practice with an attorney who listens, connects, and understands. This vision is the foundation for Julie Carter Law LLC, home to an Alabama lawyer committed to putting the client first. I work with individuals, families, and small businesses to help solve the legal problems that come up in their everyday lives.
My main practice areas are special education, family, and business law. Whether your legal issues arise in the classroom or the boardroom, with a prenup or a custody dispute, I am here to help. My goal is simple: provide strong legal counsel you can trust and reliable representation you can count on, so you can get on with life.
I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my husband, our two kids, and our dog. Before law school, I taught Spanish to middle and high school students. I also worked in fundraising for non-profit organizations. I went to Tulane Law School. I still love New Orleans and visit as often I can. After law school, I joined a large firm. While resolving title defects and business matters and litigating for big companies, I also spent as much time as possible on pro-bono matters, connecting with individuals and helping people in my community.
