Our founding attorney, Mr. Andry, has a Master of Laws (LLM) in environmental law and is an accomplished litigator. He was one of the attorneys that took on big tobacco, on behalf of the State of Louisiana in Louisiana v. American Tobacco Company. Mr. Andry and the other lawyers successfully obtained a settlement wherein the State of Louisiana received 4.4 Billion dollars. Mr. Andry was also one of the principal organizers and one of the lead attorneys in the litigation against the United States Army Corps of Engineers for the flooding caused by the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In that litigation, Mr. Andry was one of the leaders of the trial team that obtained a favorable verdict for the residents of Orleans and St. Bernard Parishes. The Trial Judge issued a 156 page decision wherein he found that the Corps of Engineers was malfeasant and monumentally negligent.
