Fagen, Friedman and Fulfrost is a mid-size law firm that strives to create an enjoyable and supportive work environment for its employees. Reviews of the firm indicate that it has a friendly and family-like atmosphere, with active and fun work culture and experienced support staff. The firm offers generous benefits such as 401K, vacation, annual bonuses, annual raises, and profit sharing.

The firm also offers flexible work options and is willing to train in some aspects. People who have worked with the firm say it is a respectful and kind atmosphere that believes in work-life balance and full of friendly and hardworking people.

However, some reviews stated that there is a lack of promotions and high turnover rate, and the salary is lower than other mid-size firms. The annual raises could be more substantial, and some of the tech needs upgrades. In addition, there is not much room for growth and a lot of oversight with no autonomy for associates.

Overall, Fagen, Friedman and Fulfrost is an enjoyable and supportive work environment that offers generous benefits and a friendly and family-like atmosphere. However, the lack of promotions, high turnover rate, and lower salary than other mid-size firms could be a potential downside for those considering working with the firm.

Advice to law firm management: Realize that a lot of the people who you have let go or have left are a result of the mismanaged system you have in place. You are losing talent due to your inability to reason.

Pros: Decent salary for this type of work
Health care benefits

Cons: There's really no order. Good are leaving and/or talking about leaving. They are quick to fire talented individuals. Most of the associates in the main (flagship) office are new because of turnover. Some of the partners are quick to frustration and it can get to be very stressful and awkward. A lot of people here have the toxic big law stereotype attitude or traits despite them claiming to have a "no jerk" rule. Their DEI and HR department values the traditional workplace more than they do new talented people. Lots of backstabbing.

Partners to Avoid and Why: N/A. This will be easily apparent within the first week.

Advice to law firm management: Hire HR services. Promote actual DEI. Do not put white associates over POC ones because now all of your promises are lip services that no one trusts.

Pros: They were really nice at first

Cons: They give you the "we are family" talk that is just a red flag. People are afraid of certain partners and are now fearful of their co-workers given that there is a lot of backstabbing going around that the firm refuses to acknowledge. If you upset the wrong partner here, you're gone. If you trust the wrong associate, you will be backstabbed. This is the reality of this firm which claims to be a "different firm".

Current or former employee?: Current Employee

Job type: Full time
