In January of 1975, Attorney Philip Waystack moved to Colebrook from Boston and opened a solo Law practice. He opened a second office in the City of Berlin in 1982. Eight years after starting his firm, Attorney Waystack hired his first associate, Attorney Vickie Bunnell, to assist in a high-profile murder case.
A few years later, Attorney Waystack hired a second associate, Attorney David King. Attorney King later became a partner, and the firm's name changed to Waystack and King. In 1990, Attorney King was appointed by Governor Judd Greg to the bench as a part-time county probate judge. In 2007, after dedicating twenty-three (23) years to the firm, Attorney King was appointed by the New Hampshire Supreme Court as Administrative Judge (Chief Judge) of the New Hampshire Probate Court, at which time he retired from the private practice of law.
Attorney Jonathan Frizzell's tenure with the firm began in 1996, when he was hired as an Associate after graduating from Pierce Law School (now UNH School of Law). In 2007, the firm's name transitioned to Waystack Frizzell, Trial Lawyers.
In 2011, Waystack Frizzell acquired an office in Lancaster, taking over a practice from another lawyer who became a full-time judge. Now the firm has offices in three of the major cities and towns in Coos County. Shortly thereafter, Waystack Frizzell has hired new Associates to meet the growing legal needs of its clients - Sandra Cabrera, who had just completed a clerkship with the Superior Court, and Scott Whitaker, who had just graduated from UNH School of Law.
