Stanley W. Greenfield served in the U.S. Justice Department as an assistant and then first assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania, where he handled a wide range of criminal and civil cases for the U.S. After leaving the government, Mr. Greenfield went into private practice, focusing on criminal defense and other trial and litigation type cases.

Stanley W. Greenfield has earned a strong reputation for his legal knowledge and insight. He is an adjunct professor at Duquesne University School of Law, and continues to teach courses in trial advocacy at that school and to the profession. Many of his students are now prosecutors, judges or attorneys in private practice - and accord him their respect and trust. Mr. Greenfield has also served as the Vice Chairman of the Criminal Procedural Rules Committee under the auspices of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Gayle R. Kraut earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from New York University, before going on to earn her law degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Law. This background enables Ms. Kraut to understand the psychological aspects of any trial, such as the motivations of a defendant or witnesses and the likely thinking of juries. It plays a critical role when making arguments for mitigation.
