The firm presently serves as Special Counsel to the State of New Jersey in civil defense litigation, school construction, employment and general civil matters. The firm currently represents the City of Atlantic City, City of Newark, City of Orange Township, and City of Trenton in municipal defense matters, including, but not limited to, complex civil and employment defense litigation. The firm is also general counsel to the Housing Authority of the City of Camden Board of Commissioners.The firm has also been successful in prosecuting a variety of election law matters. Additionally, the Firm represents one of the largest unions in New Jersey-the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) and its members in labor, employment, and contract matters. Michael A. Armstrong has served as Counsel to the New Jersey State Senate from 2001 to 2010 and as the New Jersey State Senate Parliamentarian from 2006 to 2010. Mr. Armstrong and the firm has served as Solicitor to the Township of Willingboro from 2002 to 2019. Also, the firm has served as Economic Development Counsel to the Borough of Lawnside and as Special Counsel to The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Further, the firm has represented American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, AFSCME-Council 1 members in administrative employment hearings. In the past, the firm has also represented Lowe's Corporation in land use matters, as well as Verizon and Claridge Casino in civil litigation defense.
