Of course this means that there are disagreements and issues just like any other family (and any other workplace, for that matter), but it also means that they will go out of their way to help any member of the team. On more than one occasion Miller & Law has gone above and beyond for me and my family. The healthcare plan is great, the paychecks are always on time, and any issue that comes up with respect to the equipment is dealt with quickly. I understand that not everyone always fits into certain environments, and a small, family owed business is not necessarily the right fit for everyone. But for someone who does not want to be just another cog in a giant machine, this is perfect. There are of course times where the work load may get to be intense, but its an ebb and flow just like anywhere else, but most days have me out of the office at the normal time, and any overtime is compensated as such. All in all, Miller & Law is a great place to work, with a very friendly and relaxed environment, and great people.ConsBecause its a small, local firm, the salaries are not as competitive as the Big Law firms - but the trade off is absolutely worth it to not be a cog, and to feel like a valued member of the team. Also, there are many benefits besides pay, like paid sick time, paid vacation, year end bonus, etc.
