Our history

Our firm can be traced back to 1891 when David Young opened our first office. And although the IP landscape has since changed beyond recognition, one thing remains the same: our focus on providing the highest quality IP service possible.

Throughout the past 125 years, we've always been bold, proactive and forward-looking, supporting innovative organisations of every shape and size.

Recent initiatives include:

In 2016 ? our 125th year ? we opened our Munich office.
In 2011 we became the first UK legal disciplinary practice (LDP) to bring IP solicitors together with patent and trade mark attorneys to create one IP centre of excellence.
