Peters Verny, LLP was founded as an intellectual property boutique in 1996, having its origins in San Francisco going back over 70 years ago. Since 1991 the Firm has been located in Palo Alto's California Avenue district, near the Palo Alto Superior Court building.

The firm has an active trademark and copyright practice, and counsels clients in trade secret matters as well.
