Established in 1998, Duncan Lewis Solicitors represents both corporate entities and private individuals in over 25 areas of law from offices throughout London and across England and Wales. Our aim is to satisfy our motto and 'give people a voice' through our reliable, accessible, and professional legal services.
Complementing our quality legal expertise, our commitment to client care is second to none. We strive to always provide our clients with the best possible service in a careful, considerate, and comprehensive manner, ensuring that clients are informed and updated throughout their dealings with us regardless of the scale or complexity of their case.
The foundations of our service are built upon four principles: commitment, communication, confidentiality, and courtesy.
Commitment
Our lawyers are regulated by The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), yet our commitment to providing clients with high-quality legal services is not simply a consequence of professional obligation but the result of a genuine desire to provide all of our clients with the same level of commitment, diligence, and expertise regardless of their individual circumstances or the conditions of their case.
Our commitment to clients extends to all aspects of our service, from our lawyers' availability and flexibility when arranging client correspondence, to the standard of expertise and professionalism throughout proceedings.
Communication
Client care is paramount at Duncan Lewis Solicitors and we understand the importance of keeping our clients informed and up-to-date at all stages of their dealings with us. As such, we place great importance on maintaining client communication that is delivered with clarity and transparency in a timely and effective manner that best suits the needs of our clients.
We correspond with clients in manners that best suit their individual needs whether it via email, telephone call, video link, or in person at one of our offices. Clients are always aware of who is dealing with their matter, the terms of business, and costs, and are given regular updates of any developments to their case.
Importantly, we maintain this level of communication with third parties involved in the proceedings such as counsel, experts, and barristers.
Confidentiality
We take confidentiality extremely seriously at the firm. Clients can expect all of their matters to be treated with the utmost confidentiality. We implement a number of security measures to ensure that all documents and correspondence are protected and secured so that privacy and confidentiality can be maintained at all times, and our staff undergo regular training to ensure that best practice is always carried out, remaining up-to-date with any changes to the laws surrounding confidentiality and other security developments.
We comply with GDPR and data protection laws to keep our clients' information secure and private, and will never pass personal details on to third party individuals or organisations without the explicit consent of our clients.
Further, as part of our commitment to confidentiality and data protection, we are a Cyber Essential PLUS certified firm, which means we have demonstrated that we have all necessary security measures in place to ensure data is protected.
Courtesy
We pride ourselves on delivering our services in a professional, high-quality, and, importantly, courteous manner, aiming to build and develop a lasting relationship with our clients. We recognise that our clients' circumstances and backgrounds are varied and work hard to relate to our clients in a sensitive and understanding way, taking into account their vulnerabilities, cultural differences, and personal histories in order to proceed in a comfortable and compassionate manner.
We know that legal proceedings can be stressful and worrying and so we aim to put clients at ease by keeping them informed and updated at all times; we respond quickly and efficiently when urgent advice is required, we are honest and open when explaining developments to our clients, and we are transparent about costs and funding options that may be available to our clients.
We value all feedback and make a concerted effort to take on board all constructive criticism. We place a high priority on investigating and rectifying any negative comments, and will use such feedback to further improve our service.
